Event Details

Join us for Fall Harvest Celebration on Saturday, October 14 from 11am to 4pm. RAIN OR SHINE! Many activities including the kid’s activities, corn shelling, rope making and cow milking are under cover. And of course the Farmhouse and Hoff barns are covered as well.

October 14  11am to 4pm – FREE admission (free parking)

Free pumpkin to the first 1000 children (limit 1 pumpkin per child–while supplies last). Decorate your pumpkin with stickers!

Kids Tent will have games and kid-friendly activities: pumpkin bowling/bowling lanes, corn hole, connect 4, animal chalk boards, corn tables, and more

Artisans onsite: Blacksmith, Tinsmith, Quilters & Hoff Barn tours/activities. Farmhouse is open for self-guided tours. (artisan demos located in Living History Center unless otherwise specified)

Hoff Barn Activities/Artisans:

-Artisans on hand to answer questions about the barn that built when George Washington was President

-Stop by and learn how rope was made, shell and crack corn, use a Two-Person saw to cut a log and try your hand at milking our cow, Bessie.

-Demonstrations of our working oxen Jack and Jim will be at 12 noon, 1:00PM and 2:00PM

Please no pets, glass containers, outside alcohol, sparklers/fireworks, grills, bikes/skateboards/wheelies/hoverboards. 

Coolers with drinks are permitted (no glass, no alcohol). Coolers may be inspected prior to admittance. LIGHT FARE ONLY is allowed to be brought into this event and is defined as: cheese/crackers, pretzels/chips/peanuts, or fruits/veggies in a GALLON sized or smaller zip bag or plastic container. Coolers/items will be checked prior to admittance and non-compliant items will be disposed or asked to be removed.
