Regular Admission: $5 Adults — $10 Families (Children under 9 free with paying adult)

When the sun sets… the Almshouse comes alive.

Step back into the 1850s for Shadows & Supper: A Night at the Almshouse — an after-hours, candlelit experience at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Participants will be welcomed by the Almshouse Steward, assigned the role of a real historical resident, and guided through an immersive evening of work, community, and story.

Lantern-lit tour of the Almshouse

Help prepare and share a simple hearth-cooked supper

Parlor games, music, and reflection by candlelight

Hands-on history inspired by real residents and records

This is not a haunted house.

This is not history from a textbook.

It’s a night of living history — experienced together.
